How do I use Color Mask Maps in Unreal Engine?
Sbsar files are supported in Unreal Engine, and all the colors in a Base Color Map which are defined in Color Mask Maps can be simply changed into any colors you want.
Kindly follow the steps in the below.
1. Click the Import icon at the top on the Content Drawer and open a sbsar file. Then Substance Import Options Window will pop up.
Please specify the location that you’d like to save the material to and click the “import” button to proceed.
2. Total 8 files(5 PBR Maps and 3 Sbsar files) will appear. You will be using only Substance Graph Instance file and Material Instance file to change colors. Please drag Material Instance file (PD-xxxxxxx_MAT) and drop it to the object first.
3. Double click the Substance Graph Instance (PD-xxxxxxxx_INST), then you will see a new window as below. Please drop down the menus under Inputs > Base Color Mask Maps.
4. When you click a color box that needs to be changed, a Color Picker Window will pop up.
Now you can change every color that each mask map originally shows by adjusting numbers in the 3 types of codes(RGB, HSV, and HEX) or simply picking a new color on the color panel.
