Why does a matt fabric look glossy in 3D Garment Window of CLO3D?
In some cases, matt fabrics look glossy in 3D Window. This is because the 3D Window in CLO3D may not perfectly reflect some values in every parameter. However, the glossiness disappears in Render Window. Kindly see the examples below.
The fabric applied to the t-shirt below looks glossy on the chest in 3D Window, even though it is actually matt and all the relevant parameters are also adjusted to be seen as matt one.
However, the glossiness completely disappears in Render Window as below.
If you still want to lessen or eliminate the glossiness in 3D window, there are two ways as follows.
(1) Turn on the “Quality Render”
(2) Adjust the “Roughness Map Intensity” and/or “Reflection Intensity”.
You can see the fabric in the second screenshot below looks less glossy than the first screenshot by increasing the Roughness Map Intensity and Reflection Intensity.
